A Student Theatre Group

What We Are

Student’s Stage is a student run theatre organization established in 2007 at Cal Poly. Our work is student written, produced, and directed. We are here to provide our peers with more directing and acting opportunities, technical education and experience, theatre business entrepreneurship, and a new forum for original work. Students’ Stage is for anyone, no matter the major. We produce two free, hour-long shows every Fall and Winter Quarters on Thursdays, ususally during UU Hour from 11:10 am to 12:00 noon. In Spring, we join with the Theatre and Dance Department for the One-Act Festival weekend.

Upcoming Events

Minervana: A retrospective look at the artistic achievements of women throughout history.

The event includes live music, dance, song, and slam poetry as well as theatre pieces ranging from classical Greek to contemporary student-written pieces. The event will also have a visual art walk through, which means that all aspects of the event can be seen at one's own pleasure and pace! There is also an interactive visual art piece that all attendees are welcome to add to.
